Happy Explorers is about to excite and inspire future robotic inventors everywhere. How about adding some educational fun to your Cities event with a 3 or 5-hour workshop designed for kids to explore robots and coding.
Each event will have kids make their own playdoh robots to then walk through a coding maze. Of course, it doesn't stop there, as they turn their actions into an algorithm and use that sequence to code a real robot.
This workshop is designed for large events that have hundreds of children passing through. Ages will range from 3-year-olds to young at heart teens. So spice it up and futurise your event.
A short session with the workshop space kids will learn;
What a program really is (including apps and games)
How interfaces work
What an algorithm is
Troubleshooting and problem solving
Making educated guesses
Moving left/right/forward/back in sequence
Meets Australian National Digital Technologies Curriculum
I can recognize and explore digital systems (ACTDIK001)
I can follow, describe and represent a sequence of steps and decisions (algorithms) needed to solve simple problems (ACTDIP004)
